Here's a simple and delicious charcuterie board recipe that's sure to impress your guests:
Charcuterie Board Ingredients:
Cheeses (Choose 3–4):
Soft Cheese: Brie or Camembert (creamy and mild)
Hard Cheese: Aged Cheddar or Manchego (sharp and firm)
Blue Cheese: Gorgonzola or Roquefort (for a bold flavor)
Goat Cheese: Tangy and spreadable (optional)
Meats (Choose 3–4):
Prosciutto: Thinly sliced, delicate flavor
Salami: Sliced thin for a bit of spice
Capicola: Sweet and spicy Italian cured meat
Chorizo: Adds a smoky, paprika kick
Fruits:
Fresh: Grapes, apple slices, figs, or berries (for a touch of sweetness)
Dried: Apricots or cranberries (add texture and a chewy element)
Crackers and Bread:
Crackers: Water crackers, multigrain crackers, or seeded crackers (for crunch)
Bread: Sliced baguette, crostini, or a rustic loaf
Condiments:
Honey: A drizzle of honey pairs beautifully with cheeses like goat cheese or blue cheese.
Jam or Marmalade: Fig jam, apricot preserve, or a spicy mustard
Olives or Pickles: Adds a salty, briny contrast
Nuts: Almonds, cashews, or pecans for added texture
Garnishes:
Fresh herbs (like rosemary or thyme) for a decorative touch
Edible flowers (optional)
Assembly Instructions:
Choose Your Board: A large wooden board or platter works best for spreading out the ingredients.
Arrange the Cheese: Place the cheeses first. Arrange them with space between each type. For soft cheeses like Brie, use a small cheese knife.
Add Meats: Fold or roll the meats into small portions, creating visual interest. Place them near the cheeses.
Add Fruits & Nuts: Scatter the grapes, figs, and berries around the cheeses and meats. Place dried fruits and nuts in small piles or bowls on the board.
Fill in with Crackers & Bread: Arrange the crackers and bread around the edges of the board. Leave room for easy access to all elements.
Condiments & Garnishes: Place small bowls with honey, jam, and mustard. Add fresh herbs or flowers as a final touch for decoration.
